Let's end August with a spicy bang, this dip is the perfect way to end the Summer and begin the fall - totally Labor day party worthy and perfect with a Corona or two!
Justin and I are hoping to fit in some R + R this weekend with Friends and Family, our Summer completely blew by but we are excited for the Fall and nearing the end of our home reno (definitely by Christmas!). This dip is definitely on the menu for me this weekend with a round of tacos for good measure, I mean who doesn't love Tacos + Cheesy Dip?
Chao Cheese Pineapple Chorizo Queso
serves 4-6 ppl
prep time: 5 minutes
cook time: 5 minutes - 8 minutes
You will need:
1 Link Field Roast Chorizo Sausage, cut into small pieces
Drizzle of Olive or Coconut Oil
1 cup Almond Milk
⅓ cup pineapple salsa
1 Package Chao Cheese Tomato Cayenne - cut into cubes
Tortilla Chips or Fritos for serving
In a medium sauce pan heat oil over medium high heat. Add chopped chorizo and saute until sausage begins to brown. Reduce heat to medium and add Almond Milk, Pineapple Salsa + cubed Tomato Cayenne Chao Cheese.
Cook over medium heat, continuously stir until cheese fully melts and queso thickens.
Transfer Queso to a bowl and serve with tortilla chips or fritos.
Leftover dip can be stored in an airtight container and reheated -can also be used as a topping for for chili cheese dogs, baked potatoes, tacos (see below) + fries!
