this months foodie pen pal box was the best box yet - a home run for sure!
Serena put so much thought into what she sent it was so appreciated - being a non vegan herself she went out of her way to ensure that all the goodies packed up were 100% vegan - a HUGE thank you for that!

in my box was a letter listing everything she sent along with a description and why she picked it out which I thought was great, I got to know her a little better which was fun!

1.Late July Chips - a local company started up by a father and daughter - OMG these were amazing!

2. Homemade Sweet Pickles that she made from the cucumbers she grew from seed from the seed she harvested last summer- full circle. and let me tell you these had the perfect balance of sweet & zesty!

3. A homemade cookie from a local natural foods store - I can't blame her for eating the first one she bought me, this was SO GOOD

4. Raw One Energy Bar- she has no idea, but these are my favorite and i have never had a full size one before - totally spoiled :)

5. Local Plum Jam from Cape Cod - can't wait to try this!

6.Beanstock Roasters Coffee - made from a small local roaster just a few towns over from her, it is her favorite coffee. She picked the Brewster Blend because that is the town she grew up in.

a HUGE thank you to Serena for such a thoughtful and amazing package :)
You should also totally go and check out her racy blog!

And now it's time for some details about Foodie Penpals.  In case you’re a new reader, here’s a reminder of what the program is all about:
-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal!
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents.  Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We've determined things might get too slow and backed up if we're trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa.
If you’re interested in participating for August, please CLICK HERE to fill out the participation form and read the terms and conditions.
You must submit your information by September 4th as pairings will be emailed on September 5th!
Yum

  6. Good Morning Heather,

Thank you so much for the wonderful foodie penpals package! I have been enjoying the packing. I especially love the rice crackers. The popcorn is my favorite. We are going to use the spice rub this weekend on steaks at our family Labor day cookout. The breakfast on the go nuts will come in handy when I am running late for work or working OT at work. My daughters have all ready call dips on the zone bars. I sure they will enjoy them. I will be using the fruit and nut trail mix this weekend in a recipe for dessert bars. I’ll let you know how they tasted. I’m trying the emergen-C mix this morning, have not been feeling up to par, thought this might help. Thanks, again for the package and the note.

    thanks again
    Lorrie

When I look at your blog in Opera, it looks fine
but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping.
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that,
