12 Things You Didn’t Know About Me:
1. i am with uru - i get very OCD about cleanliness when i am baking or cooking in the kitchen – an orderly kitchen is a kitchen in which i can find my ingredients!
2. no matter what i have to make my bed first thing in the morning (even if Justin is still in it) & do the dishes before i go to bed- my day just doesn't start or end right if these 2 tasks are not completed
3. i am a total control freak & perfectionist- but a nice one; i like to be super organized and know exactly what to expect or do in any situation...i do realize i can only control certain aspects of life, i am working on this one :) and no one is perfect, working on this too...this is more of working on being less self critical
4. i have worked in the hospitality industry my entire life & work at a beautiful inn on lake winnipesaukee in the Sales Department as the Conference Coordinator (i work on over 300 events a year!)
5. family is extremely important to me; i have a very large family to which i am very close to
6. my house is located within walking distance of my mom who is on one side, my dad on the other & my gram at the tip; kinda like a triangle
7. i work out everyday & love yoga
8. i drink tea not coffee; unsweetened, no milk just straight up
9. reading is another passion of mine- i formed a book club that meets every other month- this is the start of our 3rd year as a group
10. if i was not in the hospitality industry i would be an elementary school teacher
11. my sister lives just outside of dc and i visit her 2-3 times a year
12. i cherish all the relationships and friendships that i have made through blogging, it has been incredible!

1. Why do you blog? as a creative outlet, a place where i am able to share my love of food & gardening with others that share the same passions
2. Are you a social butterfly or do you like solitary weekends? both; i like time to myself, but also love being with friends and family - a 50/50 mix
3. What is your dream job? to run my own B & B with a small Cafe open to my Guests & the Public
4. If you could have any kitchen superpower, what would it be? hmm to have the ability to build my own kitchen with ton's of natural light that would not cost me a penny; does that count?
5. What is your most prized cooking possession? oh gosh, this is a hard one; my kitchen aid mixer & convection oven...i also love my stoneware

7. If you were stranded on a tropical dessert and had the choice 3 dishes to eat for the rest of your life, what would they be? Vegan Mac n' Cheese, My moms vegan Shepard's pie & a big spinach salad

This is such a great idea! I really loved reading this. I wish I were like you in terms of kitchen cleanliness... don't get me wrong, it's clean... just messy at the same time. I tend to spread out a bit when I'm cooking, I guess. :P

ReplyDeleteCaitlin, I was thinking the EXACT same thing about the eerie similarities. Control freak? Check. Needs to clean at all times? Check. Makes bed upon immediately arising? Check. Can't breath without dishes cleaned? Check. haha. I have a feeling that if the 3 of us all had a get-together we would spend our time cleaning more than anything...and it would be the funnest thing too :)

I wish i could have that kitchen clean up rule but sometimes my control freak and dishes done before bed gets in the way :) when i can let go a bit and leave the dishes justin does them in the morning!
